The workshop "Accelerating the Shift: Transition to Zero Emission Trucks" was organized by Smart Freight Centre (SFC) India in collaboration with the Indore Management Association. Part of NITI Aayog's e-FAST India initiative, this event focused on promoting regional readiness for Zero Emission Trucks (ZETs).
Key discussions revolved around the technological, operational, and financial challenges associated with deploying medium and heavy-duty electric trucks in India. The workshop featured speeches from notable speakers, including Vijay Jaiswal, Director of SFC India, and Gaurav Benal, Additional Collector, Indore District, who highlighted government support and the need for a multi-stakeholder approach to accelerate ZET adoption.
The event included presentations on ZET policy advisories, insights into operational risks, and strategies for addressing deployment challenges. Industry experts shared their perspectives on government initiatives, green corridors, battery technologies, and innovative financing models to support the scaling of zero-emission freight vehicles.
